A river is such a thing which is not the creation of human being but it is created by God, the creator of the universe.

We all know what is called a river and how it exists on the earth. In most of the countries, there are certain rivers which are understood to be the resources of the country’s national income. There are some rivers which are flowing among a number of countries. A same river is seen to take different names in different places. The Brahmaputra, The Ganges, The Sindhu, The Kaveri, The Narmada are some main rivers of India. Most of the rivers are coming from the Himalayas, the tallest and biggest mountain for India and its (neighboring,nearer,dwellers) countries. A river has been a blessing for all of us because of the fact that it contributes in different ways tour life. It supplies water during rainy season to its nearby cultivating fields and make the lands suitable for cultivation. The farmers start enjoying when they see that their lands for cultivation are being suitable for cultivation. A river is the place where most people use to take bath and also do bathing of their household animals. On some particular day the Hindu people go for taking bath in the river with a view to observe a religious day like ‘janmastami’.

Most of the people of India believe that the water of the river The Ganges is pure and sacred. Therefore different people from distant places come to the bank of this river only for religious performances. The people use to think that the water of the river Ganges is always sacred. The rivers are used as the ways of communication for which some cities and towns are situated on the bank of the (big,great,large) rivers for the fact that people from distant places may come on boats and ships through these rivers and ultimately that may be a source of trade and business. It is more interesting to do travel on the river that on the roads.

The places on both banks of the rivers are generally very comfortable. Therefore most people use to settle in such places.
