There are different colors of roses present, each carrying a deep special meaning behind them.

A rose is a beautiful flower. It symbolizes romance. We all in some point of our life have given or will give someone rose. But there are different colored roses with each carrying a special meaning behind it. So it is better to know these meaning before we give out roses or receive them from others.

Red Rose:

It is the most common yet the most beautiful rose of all. This flower represents romance and love. When given as a single strand, it means “I love you”. When given as bud which is symbolic for purity and loveliness, it means “fallen in love”. If it is given as fully bloomed then it means “I still love you”. Usually the roses are given without the thorn, which means “Love at first sight”.

Pink Rose:

The pink color is known as a symbol of grace and elegance, often given as an expression of admiration. The regular pink represents happiness. It says “I am very happy with our relationship”, or other similar statements. The deep pink rose is given when somebody does something nice for you. It says “Thank You”. The light pink rose represents “Sympathy”. When someone has had a loss then light pink roses is a very nice way of expressing your condolences.

Yellow Rose:

The bright, sunny color of yellow represents friendship and caring. When given to a friend it means “I am happy with our friendship”, while giving it to a loved one simply means “I care”.

White Roses:

White roses are representative of innocence and purity, often involved with marriages and new beginnings. A bouquet of this to your lover can mean “I am worthy of you”. Its combination with red roses means unification and unity. Sending someone both red and white roses is like saying “May we always be together as one.”

Lavender Roses:

The unique beauty of this rose has enchanted everyone, hence it symbolizes enchantment. Giving this to someone is saying “I have fallen in love with you and am enchanted by you.”

Orange Rose:

It is the symbol for passion and desire. When given to someone it shows a very exciting romance. It says “I desire you” to the people you love or “I desire to know you better” to people whom you like (for now).

Blue Rose:

It is very hard to find. Mostly you will find dyed blue rose out there. But if you happen to find it as natural, then you just have put your hand on the “Unattainable” or “Impossible”. It also represents mystery. Giving this to your partner is like saying “I have attained the unattainable, which is you.”

Black Rose:

I have never seen one of these. Some say that they are just hard to find while some say that they don’t exist. In any case, if you happen to find it somehow, never give it to your partner. That is because it symbolizes “Death”.

These are the basic meanings behind the beautiful flowers. Use your imagination to show your different feelings. For example, there are some yellow roses with red tip. You can give it your friend to say, “You are a good friend, so I have fallen in love with you.” You can also try mixtures of flowers in bouquet. Like try giving mixture of red and orange to say “I love you and desire to know you even better”. You get the idea, so best of luck.
