As you become older and realize how fast the years go by, the meaning of life or ones purpose is pondered.  There has to be more to life than working, purchasing material things, watching television and the ordinary activities one participates in. 

I think everyone concurs that though buying expensive cars, electronics, and other “toys”, makes us happy, it is usually temporary.  Helping someone or getting involved in a cause you are passionate about will make a difference in the world.  Everyone, rich or poor can help someone who has less than him or her.  Kind words do not cost a cent.  Donating old clothes does not either.  If you think about what is dear to your heart, you can research how to help that cause. 

The jubilation in your heart and soul after changing someone else’s life will change your life as well.  It will give it meaning, you will feel a sense of accomplishment and true happiness.  Being selfless is truly rewarding.  As you see your work, or contributions take effect, you will want to do more. 

Search your soul, and figure out what you can do to make someone else’s heart sing, this could be the beginning of something beautiful.
