As the saying the best things in life are free… is actually true in its form; recently the municipality government of Pasay City in cooperation of the Pamantasan ng Lunsod ng Pasay; open its door to a financial aid assistance for the deserving residents of Pasay who would like to pursue its college education.

The program aims to lessen the tuition fee by at least 50% of the regular matriculation. A great help to those indigent residents of the city of Pasay. This program is spearheaded by the Barangay Action Center Office headed by Mr. Nicanor Teodoro. The department as well as his staff; done good job in assisting the incoming freshmen of the city’s college Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasay.

Half the price on the regular payment is something to boast for; you can see on the face of the parents the relief that this kind of project had given them. The project will run until May 20, 2011. All you need to avail of this social services or the scholarship grant is to coordinate with your local barangay unit. You must secure the following documents as listed below:

• Application form ( from the Municipal Barangay Action Center)
• Barrangay Certificate of the Student
• Endorsement Letter from the Barrangay Captain
• Certificate of Indigence ( from Municipal’s DSWD)
• Voter’s Certification of the Guardian.
• Student’s Good Moral Character
• Form 137 or Previous Grading Card
• Must be a bona fide residence of Pasay.

There were so many ways to have a scholarship grants coming from our local government or LGU’s. All we have to do is to be aware and know more about these programs.
