Who are you? A question that everyone seems to be searching for the answer. The website, ancestry.com can help some find their answer. Others need a more personal search of their spiritual connection.
Who are you? There are many ways to answer this question. It is important in some way to all of us to have a sense of who we are. Some search the spiritual route looking for their identity in relation to their creator and God’s purpose for them. Others go to ancestry.com and search their ancestry until they reach the last hint of any records such as census, or family information passed from generation to generation. However, my two year old grand daughter simply states, “I’m Callie”!
As we mature in age and mind, it is important to find purpose in our life. The sense of exploring and finding this purpose gives us a more complete feeling toward ourselves. The simple answer to, “Who are you”? is to state your name and maybe some general information of where your family lives or your relation to someone that is well-known by others. This answer isn’t enough for a person seeking the understanding of why they exist in this vast world. How can one person know who they are with so many other people existing. Finding a connection with the universe and its maker gives us a spiritual identity.
The ancestry.com service has a new television program featuring celebrity guests who are given the story of their family. The facts may offer emotional suprise, gratitude, or shame.
So, who are you? Start with your name, talk to God to see who He wants you to be from this day forward. Then, take a tour on ancestry.com and find your biological roots. For most of us, it takes at least fifty years to figure it out!
