Most people go to the bookstores to purchase books they need for school while some go there to buy books and select fictions to be read, as it is already their habit.
When going to the bookstore, you see racks and racks of countless books for sale but how come not all these books hit the market and are left on their shelf for so long? Did this question cross your mind? Browsing the first couple of pages of the book will nearly answer this question. Commonly, these kinds of books are self published by authors who have a low budget producing a book ad another reason is for them to retain the integrity of their work so as not to change anything from its original version as publishers normally change the plot, setting and characters if they think it is best for the outcome of the entire book.
An author on the other hand has to be very open minded regarding this issue because it is through this that their work will not be put to waste but be more fabulous that many people will enjoy to read. Another concern that authors should be mindful about is their ability to be creative enough to design the cover page of the book, which gives a 73% impact to the buyers. These are just some factors among numerous of them that makes up a good book that will certainly catch the interest of the readers.
The author who wrote the book will still have the right to submit their work to a publishing company or not. It may depend on several of reasons for that matter. Others may not be very interested on the total revenue he/she will receive at the end of publishing the book, others may just want to share their life story to people, others may have the passion of writing and isn’t much open to changes when it comes to their dear piece of work and others may just want to publish a book on their own for a reason only them knows.
Authors therefore should bear on mind that in order for their work to be successful and will do well in the market, a little more spending for a publishing company will be worth it rather than seeing the book standing on the shelf for ages and buyers will just pass through them as though they don’t matter at all. It is even advantageous on the author’s part because he/she needs not to worry about anything else like design, form, and format, book packing and potential companies where the book will be distributed along.
So you see, all hassles will be gone and the book will make its own way to popularity for that reason and all the author’s got to do it sit back, relax and take a sip of coffee while reading the book on his/her own porch and enjoy the afternoon breeze with pride and gratification for enabling to produce such a wonderful piece of written art.
