In this tight economy, who isn’t looking to bolster their income and become financially independent?  One of the ways women, and men, have been doing it is by selling Avon.  This is definitely not a new thing, as Avon has been around since the late 1899’s, with over 10,000 people selling their products by 1906!  There’s no gimmicks or get-rich-quick schemes when it comes to Avon, it’s good old fashioned hard work. 

How do you become successful?  Easy, you work at it.  You need to be informed on the products you are selling as well as informed on who you are selling to.  If you already have a job, that is a great way to pass out Avon books, as well as samples.  Just make sure that it is not against company policy to do so.  You may need to be discreet, but Avon is such a big brand that you really don’t have to do much “selling”, it’s just being available and being prompt with the orders and getting the products back to your customer.

A key thing: Even if you know your customer, do NOT deliver products without payment.  It sounds simple enough but you will get people who will say “I’m good for it next week” and they may be, but you will be setting yourself up for failure as the more often this happens, the more people will try to take advantage of you and you WILL get burned.  Remember, you’re not working a charity outfit, you are selling a product in the thoughts of earning a profit, which when done right, you most certainly will do with Avon.  Done wrong and you will end up paying for it, literally.
