Ladies, how many times have you found yourself unfulfilled, unhappy and just plain jilted? Loving a man that clearly doesn’t love you back, giving up the goodies and rewarding someone that you can’t even call on when you need him, let alone count on a movie and a value meal from McDonald’s?
All the while you’re asking God for someone to love you, when you already have someone who does, but he’s just an average Joe?

Charlie shows up and jump-starts your car and gives you ten dollars just because he sees your tank is almost on empty. All the time he’s smiling not showing the slightest bit of frustration having been awakened in the wee hours of the night. He even follows you all the way home to make sure you make it there safely. Then as you’re walking toward the house, he says, “I’m not going to ask to come in since its so late. So I’ll talk to you later”.

You chuckle at the thought and say to yourself, “I just know he didn’t think he was going to come in”.

The next night Tyrell finally calls back and he’s glad you made it home okay. He wants to know if he can come over later and you know what for. You eagerly say, “Yes”, and you take a shower and put on your favorite nightgown hoping he doesn’t stand you up this time.

Ladies, what’s wrong with this story?

How many times have you found yourself in a similar situation? Unfulfilled, unhappy and just plain jilted? Loving a man that clearly doesn’t love you back…giving up the goodies and rewarding someone that you can’t even call on when you need him, let alone count on a movie and a value meal from McDonalds?

All the while you’re asking God for someone to love you when you already have someone who does. But because he’s not as charismatic or as fine, or as witty as a man you would like to have, he’s overlooked, mocked and simply used, for when no one else is around to save you. You ask for a saver and yet you punish the one you get?

I say it is time we ladies give the Average Joe’s a chance! For once and for all, I call out to all the unfulfilled women that are just used when there is a capable and willing good man waiting to love them and I say, “Give the Joe’s a chance at love”. Worse case scenario, he’ll fall in love and do even more for you. At best, you will actually start to love him back. And you can dress him and go to the dermatologist with him and maybe after a little TLC, you’ll find he doesn’t look that bad after all.

Beyonce has if figured out, and so does Janet Jackson and they got the looks and the money to have almost anyone they want. Now it’s our time to give the Charlie’s a chance and drop that low-life, womanizing scum you call your “Lil Buddy or Homie”. He doesn’t deserve you. He’s the one that you should make wait and earn your loving.

So if you’re single and you’re sexually frustrated cause you got that certain itch that needs scratching and you’re not into toys or pleasing yourself. If you’ve got to have a man, call Charlie, because we’ve got to learn to separate sex from emotions anyway. And I believe you’ll be much happier if you do.

This was GRRRReat! I can totally relate, I known a few Tyrells, however what do you do when you have a Charlie who thinks he is a Tyrell?

  • VLyric on Nov 15, 2008

The only true way a Charlie can be a Tyrell is if he’s getting the goods because the Tyrell’s are the ones that most girls give the action to. So if you’ve decided to have pity on a Charlie and give him some and he’s gotten besides himself, the only thing you need to do is cut it off. If you pull out he’ll realize his mistake quick because he knows you’re the best thing he got going and he’ll come back crawling and begging.
If he’s a Charlie and you’ve never given him any and he acts like he’s God’s gift to women, then he’s just a lame with high self esteem. I find them quite comical.

Wow Double D, it sounds like you got a lot of aminosity there. What the “popular girls” which I was not affiliated with, were being, was ignorant. Ignorance makes people, especially children, do foolish things and through age and times comes wisdom. Unfortunately it takes some of us, especially the ones that didn’t have adequate parenting to realize and learn these types of things on our own. I envy the women that was taught by wise and good mothers or even better, parents because they were less likely to make the mistakes I did. Still, I do not feel it is right to put me on the chopping block about it because if you’re honest you will admit, that even you (yes you) wanted the “popular girls”. Of course you would have settled for someone less known, but if you could have gotten Miss Douglass High, your butt would have, and you would have probably even changed because that move would have made you apart of that so called ‘elite group’ you seem to have such a problem with. So keep it real. I say kudos to Hitman, you are a very wise and fair person. You are able to see things from every prespective because at the end of the day, we have all been picky and perferred what we liked instead of just settling. I just wanted to let the females that have gotten too old to be stuck in their childish ways when those thoughts and habits have never worked and yet they’re sadden, not because they don’t love themselves, but because God didn’t mean for us to be in this world alone and they yearn for that loving that a child can’t duplicate. The kind of loving that accents and upgrades the essence of who you are and what makes you live instead of merely existing. For besides motherhood and salvation, there is nothing more fulfilling and inspiring than the love, respect and honor of a King recognizing his Queen.
