A concerned, discouraged rambling…
The war against the solders at Ft. Hood, leaving 13 dead and 25 injured left many American people in a state of shock. Given that the war took place in a U.S. Army Base on American soil once again showed us that the enemy is close. My first thought was for the children who lost their mother or dad. I thought about the soldiers who had escaped the war zone and made it back to their homeland alive, only to be gunned down by a ruthless, abhorrent man who wore a uniform; of a U.S. soldier. This man, Nidal Malik Hasan, had objective plans on November 5, 2009. A few hours before the Murderer found his position in the Processing Center, he ridded himself of all his personal belongings. Apparently, in the name of Allah, he carried through with his well-laid plan. Once again, the terrorist left a burden of loss upon the shoulders of America.
As America grieved, the President gave a speech, as he does so well, directly after the Tribal Conference Meeting. His speech began at 5:02 pm, several hours after Fox News first broke into their regular schedule to announce the violence on the base. The President spoke 2 1/2 minutes, thanking those who were in attendance, thanking his cabinet and the Interior Department, and said he wanted to give a SHOUT OUT to the Congressional medal winner.
The President of the United States giving a SHOUT OUT while soldiers lay dead in a blood bath and others filled emergency rooms in Texas hospitals. And he had the audacity to ask for a shout out as America cried for the loss. His lack of concern is amazing. His speech lasted 6 minutes, allotting slightly over three-minutes for the Fort Hood victims and their grieving, fear stricken families. Once he finally gathered his “sympathy” he said, “as you may have heard there has been a tragic shooting at Fort Hood.” Of course, we had heard!
The President showed very little concern as he approached the podium waving to the audience, and smiling from ear to ear.
His lack in multi-tasking or departmentalizing his priorities should be of great concern. In my opinion, the President should have broken free from the meeting the moment he heard about the shooting. He should have been standing with the Americans instead of giving a shout out.
Moreover, the Imam, Anwar Awlaki, wrote on his personal web site, the only way a Muslim can justify serving in the U.S. Military is if he intends to “follow in the footsteps of men like Nidal.” He called Hasan a hero!
What was Hasan’s reason to attack at that very moment? What was his philosophy? In addition, why did our President ask us not to jump to conclusions about Hasan’s Muslim ties?
During his appearance, the President gave a speech for the fallen soldiers. Giving credence to his speech it was touching. CNN, however elaborated to extremes, as they usually do, and referred to him as the “Comforter in Chief.” How fitting is that since CNN reporters claimed him to be the “Messiah.” Jesus is in fact the Comforter. Once again, CNN’s crestfallen description of Mr. Obama is highly over-rated.
Mr. President needs to purge his egotistical carriage and understand he, and his unproductive agenda does not by any measure, take precedence over the American people of whom he promised to protect.
