Humorous list of reasons why I hate moving.

Recently, I moved from my home to a nice, spacious condo. My home was falling apart. Our family moved on to a new and better place. However, I hated everything that went into the move. Here are sixteen reasons why I hated moving:

1.  The endless packing was driving me crazy.

2.  Twenty-two years of collectible memories had to be packed in two weeks.

3.   Donating many of those memories because they weren’t all so collectible.

4.   Throwing out papers that needed to be gotten rid of years ago.

5.    Getting boxes, boxes, and more boxes.

6.    The endless stuffing of all the precious items into boxes.

7.    Selling other items for practically nothing because we couldn’t take them with us.

8.    Checking to find a reliable moving company that wouldn’t charge an arm and a leg.

9.    Realizing that it was impossible to find a moving company that would not charge an arm and a leg.

10.  Saying goodbye to wonderful games and toys that we no longer needed.

11.  Saying goodbye to my comfortable but worn out pillow. Now wait just a minute. I’m not getting rid of my pillow. Yes dear, I understand. It needs to be put into the garbage.

12.  Looking at the two gentlemen that are going to move our furniture, our clothes, our dishes, andeverything else and wondering what they are goingtobreak.

13.  Looking at the two fine gentlemen that are taking their sweet time moving us while having time to down a sandwich, fries, and a soft drink.

14.  Counting the endless hours of moving us to our new home. Will we be broke after paying for the move?

15.  Unloading all those hundreds of boxes in every part of the condo. Where is my camera? Where is my Xbox 360? Where are my pajamas? Where is my sanity?

16.  Finally, time to collapse and go to sleep on our unmade bed. I’ve paid the movers a small fortune. I’ll look for everything in the coming weeks. For now, I’m bushed. I may not get out of bed for a year.
