Scene 5

Prologue

(King, messenger and general)(In the palace

King: What happened, messenger dear, in the salt lake battle

Messenger: as I reached the battlefield, our army was at a better position. The enemy was at their back foot.

General: and then he did a very wise thing. He told the enemy general that if he surrenders now, he along with his army could retreat.

King: and the number of soldiers in King Charles Army was more than our imagination. However our army seemed large too.

Messenger: actually Lord your general is also a witty one. After my completion of offer he added,

General: Hardy,” I also want in lieu This merciful act of ours, some ten thousand soldiers, the best of  this ten thousand men army, I will return these soldiers after ten days . Till date you can have fifty soldiers of ours as hostage.

Messenger: He agreed Cheerfully, his life was saved.
