A lot of concerts were not attended as much as usual in 2010 because of high prices of tickets. In 2011 things are to change.
Good news for those who wanted to go to a concert in 2010, either because of not having the money or who refused to pay the money for tickets.
In 2010, many people didn’t go to a concert because of price. But for 2011, some concerts are going to be less money for a ticket. They plan to make up the money by selling snacks such as nachos and drinks such as beer. Besides making money on refreshments, concert promoters are sure the people are going to buy souvenirs such as t-shirts.
In 2010, ZZ Top had an average ticket charge of $55. For 2011 the prices are going to be lower and prices could be as low as $10 for some tickets. Carl Stubner who is with the ZZ Top crew said ” It’s time to give back. We’ll find other ways to make money. “
Some concerts are still going to be expensive, though. Cheap Trick will be an average of $80 plus fees for a ticket. And don’t expect a discount on extra ht acts such as Justin Bieber and Lady Ga Ga.
Neil Diamond has too big of a performance to lower prices. He told the Associated Press that As the shows get bigger, the expenses get bigger, so its got translated somehow to the ticket price. Neil Diamond said ‘ If I just used the guitar it would be a lot simpler, but then I’d have to put 50 people out of work.
