Soul Eater is an anime which centers on meisters and human weapons relationship with each other as they try to collect 99 evil souls and a witch. Death the Kid which is one of the characters who is a meister and his weapons Liz and Patty try to battle with other meisters and weapons. His character as son of Death reveals how his personality as a son, friend and a meister.

Death the Kid is one of the supporting characters from the anime series Soul Eaters. He is called Kidd by family and friends. He is the son of Death. He suffers from obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (OCPD), which represents as an obsession on symmetry. Everything has to be perfectly symmetrical for him. Death the Kid’s philosophy on symmetry is about beauty, even off by any measurement. A picture frame off by millimeter or a pose that is slightly out of place will make him go crazy. He will try to correct it as fast as he can after noticing it and at any situations even if they are in the middle of a battle. His favorite number is 8, since it is symmetrical. He is obsessed with symmetry that he refuses to fight if Patty and Liz are not together. Liz and Patty are human weapons of the Kidd that transforms into pistol guns. He has ways as to how he holds his guns. He holds the guns upside down then pulls the trigger with his pinky fingers. Kidd has excellent gunning skills.

He also has a flying skateboard called Beelzebub, which he uses as a form of short distance power, though it can also be used for long distances as well. He used this to fly to Egypt. He was born as a shinigami his potential power is technically far above that of his fellow Shibusen students.

His obsession with symmetry contrasts with his hair, on the left bangs of his hair is marked with three white stripes. He tried to dye his hair in black but due to his body being a Shinigami or Death. It rejects the hair dye and soon returns to normal. His hair is his big problem, inspite how clean, descent and refines he look.

My brother loves this series. I find Death the Kidd a hysterical character.
