I have never thought about the future before, but after reading Specials by Scott Westerfeld I began to think. I started to notice how dangerous young minds can be, and what could happen if we let it. Yes, young minds can be dangerous, they rebel, but can the definition of rebel be stopping the madness and not creating more. In fact when your entire world is madness than it is all-normal and so when you rebel it is thought as madness yet really you are changing the entire world’s perspective of what its people have become…human or monster.

In Specials Tally gets a new surge that makes her apart of special circumstances, a special. Tally is in a small group of the specials that are a little different. She is apart of the cutters, which was started by her friend Shay. They are the rebel specials…

In her new special body Tally’s view of their society changes, before she was against it and now she is one of its biggest defenders. Yet after talking to old friends she sees what has happened. Tally knows she has to change everything and everyone is depending on her for just about everything.

Before Tally had been a threat to the society. She made her mark on the world. Everyone knew the crim Tally Youngblood. Shay had shown her what the world was and now Tally has stolen it. One move by Tally and she can change everything. Yet Tally seems to not be able to control herself and everything seems to just collapse.

Tally must once again rewrite herself. Then once you think her life is going to get less complex…your wrong. Disaster hits once again and the most absurd takes its course creating more and more of a knot. Tally continues to unravel and intricate things over and over. When a point comes you think it unfathomable all the lunacy comes to a halt.
