Yea…
Stem cell research is used to understand and possibly cure diseases. With all the new research that people are discovering now, stem cells are actively being used to treat and cure diseases. They can be used to repair tissue and regrow organs. Contrast to popular belief, stem cell research does not harvest human life. The adult stem cells used by the scientists are all donated. They also are taken out of the body, which does not take the life of the donater. Embryonic stem cells are received through patients using in-vitro fertilization who no longer want their spare in-vitro fertilized eggs. The eggs are expensive to keep frozen and most people do not want to just get rid of the eggs so they donate them to research. Many diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, diabetes, traumatic spinal cord injury, and heart disease have been treated and managed through the use of embryonic stem cells. They implant the stem cells and the cells multiply to become whatever cell the body needs. The amount of research and knowledge gained by stem cells is the main factor to how doctors and scientists understand diseases today, which is overall beneficial to mankind.
Stem cells have many uses in this world right now, human kind has many disease that are unmanageable and incurable at the time being, but through our stem cell research, it may be possible to cure and treat those incurable diseases. The three main points to stem cells and why they’re helpful are what stem cells do, the two types of stem cells, and the use of stem cells in medical research.
