Not far from where I live is one of my dogs favorite places to be off leash. This park has an expansive fenced in area for larger dogs. The park has narrow overgrown trails for the four legged adventurer and wide easy on the paws paths for the more laid back breed. There’s also a large open field for the energetic four legged runner to chase balls and Frisbee’s thrown by their owner.
When the pets owner wants to just sit and relax while Fido roams there’s benches and covered areas throughout the park along with water spigots and large bowls to quench a pets thirst.
Connected to the larger off leash area there’s a fenced and gated area for the smaller breed and pet owner. When my dachshund appears to be overwhelmed by the larger dogs greeting her in groups I have the peace of mind knowing I can take her to a less stressful area for her to enjoy the rest of her walk.
Overall, this is a wonderful environment emphasised by clean grounds due to the bag dispensers placed throughout the park for “poop patrol”. Needless to say the pet owners are conscientious about taking care of what their pet leaves behind.
This is a park that embodies tranquil paths, natural surroundings and friendliness. A visit here is always a joy.
