Last night I dreamed I had spoken with my daughter but when I awoke I couldn’t tell if it was fact of fiction.

I am sure at least once in life you have dreamed of a situation that appeared to be factual or a situation that you believe you have experienced. That is what happened to me last night. I had a dream that I had actually spoken to my youngest daughter but once I woke up I wasn’t so sure.

Naturally in a circumstance like this you call the person you believe you have spoken with, right? Well that is what I did, only to be left more confused. The conversation went something like this:

Me: Honey did I speak to you yesterday?

Her: No

Me: Are you sure? I remember asking you did you apply for your passport?

Her: No, mom, I am on my way to work and I am sure we didn’t speak yesterday. Are you alright? What is going on with you?

Me: I am just a little confused I just woke up and I thought you told me you didn’t get around to applying for your passport. Are you sure we didn’t talk?

Her: No mom, I spoke with my sister while you were in the car with her. Don’t you remember asking her to ask me if I had applied for the passport?

Me: That’s right! I asked her to ask you did you apply for your passport while riding in the car, and you said you didn’t get around to it then I went home had a glass of wine, didn’t remember the conversation in the car and called you after 11 pm. When you didn’t answer I left you a voice message and went to bed. Okay now I understand I am not losing my mind I just forgot.

She refused to validate I have not lost my mind. Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.

When one intensively keeps at a thing, the dividing line between the actual and virtual blurs.A nice post we can relate.
