Adults! They are so funny. Any given day a young person will hear , things like, your not ready, you have no experience, not intellectually capable, or you don’t have enough knowledge for that yet. I am so sick being told what I can’t do because of my age. At the age of 18 every high powered official in my city and county knows my name. Call upon me to represent them, and answer questions for them. They call upon me to help them with their campaigns, and to give my ideas. If I so intellectually incapable, not knowledgeable enough than why have I become one of the most important teenagers in this community. If I have no experience then why is it you call upon me for advice. I can do al this, but when I decide to run for an office everyone doubts me, and tells me I can’t.

What experience is it I’m lacking. Teens tell me if you agree. We are told we don’t have experience. Is experience anything special. Experience has been in Washington for years, and yet bad decisions ran our economy into the ground. Experience should have saved us from the recession. What about those teachers who have taught for 30yrs. Quite a number of them are still teaching, and yet the test scores in California stay relatively the same or lower. How is it they have so much experience, and yet education is still crappy. Experience is a Croc of shit. Hey, our parents are suppose to have been there done that and know so much then why in the hell did so many of them vote for Bush twice. If experience means treating Sarah Palin like a Queen, when shes really a pain in the ass, and criticizing Obama for turning the economy around, then we as the youth don’t need it. Our value is our youthful outlook at things, our value is being able to throw the status quo and use our creative minds to come up with solutions. Our value is that we can look back and see what doesn’t work, and implement a new alternative. We are the next generation that will create a stronger world.

Don’t let any adult tell you you can’t. The word can’t only exist because we choose to speak the word. I’m running for school board next year, and no one will stop me. I will win, and I will be the one calling the shots. In todays world its better to be the author of the book, then a character in the book. By winning school board I will be the author, and no longer a character. The only way to change the world is to get New authors with the pencil in their hands, so that we can write the new history of the world. To bring about more solutions to our world, and stop all the corruption, and greed from ruling the world. This world is ours, so lets own it.
