Missing, abandoned, forsaken and abused are all words children have heard of. They make them feel alone and scared. Whose really missing? God.

Many people on God’s world have waked up only to find their child missing. Think about how scared and afraid this child must have felt. News reports report each and every hour about this tragic news.  Is it any wonder parents or guardian are scared to let their loved ones out to play? Fear lurks even in church yards. What’s the world really missing?

God is whose missing.  These people who abuse our children may have had a rough childhood and never of even heard the word God ever addressed as the wise man of teaching that he is. True! They will have to pay the crime for their deeds and well that they should. But just think about these same people who abuse children and think of them as a helpless infant.

Even the worst of people started out as helpless little bundles. Maybe there never was a buddle of joy for any of their family to behold. Maybe they just heard arguing and swearing all day long. Hitting and violence around every corner. Think about if this would have been you. Your mind so battered all it wanted to do was just hit and try to scream their pain away.

These abused victims of child abuse and neglect turned them to alcohol and drugs. They just must have felt no one cared and nobody would ever care. Then when and if they had a reason to change they were so hooked on their addictions they just kept sinking like quick sand.

There’s no excuse for abusing anyone and they will all take their time standing in front of a judge one day. What is the one thing that these abusers were missing? Yes it was God. God should be on the mouths of parents. Their words should be never bitter sweet. It should be wise and kind and full of life giving hope.

Let’s all try a little harder each day to look deep into as many children’s eyes as possible and give then a reason to believe that this world has something good to offer. God is never missing. Sometimes his children are lost but then found from the hopes of eternal peace.

God bless this Sunday.

It’s very sad to learn that those kids are being abused and abandoned! Thanks for writing this piece!

You make the assumption that a child who is brought up in the church doesn’t become an abuser. Your point is well taken but there’s no guarantee.

Ken has a point, plus there are many of people who were abused as children who grew up be very caring adults. While I think God helps see us through bleak times and gives us strenght I also think some people ignore his word, or find strenght without attending church.

God does help the abandoned and the abused.

Great article…though going to Chruch helps but like Ken pointed out that it does not guarantee it…

God is love and we need to share His love especially with the children. Thanks for the reminder.

An excellent piece. Most of these abusers know exactly what they are doing. Some are very clever at their craft or vices, and some of them are sick. The problem of child abuse is a big and frightening one.

It is really sad to hear or see young children being abused and abandoned along the way by irresponsible parents. Guess, they should learn about the parable of the lost sheep.

Do you know there are just as many people in the church that are abusers as outside the church. It happens in all walks of life.Nobody is immune.

    A heartrending post.

A thought provoking lesson there, Mrs Heart. I think even people in the church may have been abused or seen abuse. I agree with the others there are no guarantees, but faith in God does help.

This was a very good lesson. I feel so bad for children that have been abused.

Awesome article, the world is so full of suffering and abuse.
If everyone took the time to look around they would be very surprised to see or find out how many children as well as adults have been or are abusers. We live in a scary world; and all we can do is pray. Pray for ourselves, our families, for those who are suffering at the hands of some unhappy full of issues sinner.
