We are sunlight!

We sit on the sunlit slope feeling the warmth of the golden Sun shining on our face. It is the shortest day of the year and perhaps chilly. Yet we are dressed warmly and the food we have eaten keeps us warm from the inside as well as the added warmth of the Sun on our face.
The food, good, was a gift grown of the Sun. The breads from flour ground from grain that captured sunlight and thrown into the grains of wheat, rye, barley, corn, rice. The vegetables, fruits, and nuts; whether roots, melons, berries, stalks, or leaves all captured sunlight. Meats, including fish and fowl; and animal products, fed on what captured the sunlight so all captured sunlight.
Sun setting and at home. Candles lit, and releasing light. The wax, harvested by bees from pollen captured sunlight by plants wax, made of oil processed from plants processed deep in the earth once long ago captured sunlight. The candlelight — warming and lighting — is the Sun shining again in the dark. The fire in the fireplace and the coals in the stove all sunlight once more released.

Still, turning on a light, turning on the computer, the warmth the information traveling the wires on sparks of electricity. The electricity, some from coal-sunlight released; some from oil-sunlight released; some from natural gas-sunlight released; some from hydro-electricity and wind power…
The Sun warms the water and land, and the water and land heat the air. The air rises and falls and the rain and winds are born. The rain falls on hills and mountains and lakes and streams form. That is where the sunlight is captured to be released in the wires.
The nuclear power comes from the actions of dying giant suns and is their stored sunlight and even tidal energy is influenced by the gravity that the sun orchestrates through the moon.
We are full of sunlight, sunlight captured and recaptured.
