An Example of a beginning to any book, novel, or short story. Used to jog memories of writers and add ideas to them that are stuck on a topic to write about.

Enjoy.

Black, the sky showed no sign of light. The stars where gone and the Moon did not wish to show its face. Well that was to be expected in a world after a super nova. It been one hundred years since then. Modern technology of the 21st century has allowed for artificial heat as well as using therm-O energy of the earth’s own core as a source of power. Billions died in the initial catastrophe and the few left in the world were forced to rebuild.

“The world’s survivors tried to rally together in hopes to find a solution, but at that point their was no hope in any one’s mind or heart. Then a man from a land called the Americas appeared and gave way to a new era. The man helped many as he designed and helped construct entire cities. Cities made without streets or sidewalks. A city created like one giant hotel or school campus. This was the largest change in Human history. . .” The man stopped talking and lifted his head from his book to spot a young man in the middle row sleeping as if he hadn’t a care in the world, “Is the history on Human Survival boring kid!?” The man said with a loud tone.

“Wah!?” the boy replied as he lifted his head from his book which now had drool seeping into the pages, “SHIT!” the boy scrambled for a napkin and tried to dry his booklet. He could hear footsteps in the distance and began to move quickly trying to dry the drool off his book, soon the steps became closer and louder until they stopped.

He looked up to see a man who is much into his late 40’s staring into his eyes as if to read his soul’s intentions.

“First sleeping and now destroying school’s property kid!?” the man said with the same loud manner.

“No, sir… um mm… I … sorry!” the boy scrambled some words out and went to lower his head forgetting he was sitting down. What was expected next was what happened, he hit his head on the desk as he had done countless times before and then retorted the word “SHIT” again and again until he got smacked with the book across the face by his teacher.

“Ouch!” the kid spit out as he was hit.

“Now we all know how bored you thought you where over the events of World War 2, but the events taking place in this section weren’t even one hundred years old!? Are you that selfish as you couldn’t care if Humanity was wiped out?” The teacher was having his anger tested.

“Beats me, if that happened I wouldn’t be here so I wouldn’t know sense.” The student replied back rather cocky.

“Get out of my class Jacob!” the teacher pointed to the hallway door as his vein looked like it would pop out of his forehead.

“Yes sir…” Jacob stood up from his desk and walked out leaving his book behind.

“This is going to be 40 dollars boy!” The teacher yelled in response to his actions.

The rest of the class laughed for a couple seconds as they watched the class delinquent gets kicked out of class yet again.

“No, matter what you say the sun is still gone and the outside is still black.” Jacob commented under his breathe.
