Now lets go to the human side of things shall we?

What would you define as a super power? something that makes you more stronger in some way in comparison to a normal being? Well if so, then they walk among us as we speak, but their true nature may alarm you.What are these super powered being’s called? well the term we use is “savant”.

Savant’s are people, who have an extraordinary talents.What are they, you ask? well,eidetic memory to start with.

Or in other words, they cannot forget.And I emphasize on that.They can not forget anything.Perfect recall.A Savant was once given a plane tour of Venice.When he landed, he took out a paintbrush, and painted the view he saw from the plane.Remarkably, the places, roads, and landmarks are exactly where they are in a real map.Down to the smallest detail.That is a truly remarkable power.

But my dear readers, don’t start wishing you were a savant just yet.Listen to the full story.The savant’s extraordinary gift comes at a price.Due to the damaged brain they are born with, they are often autistic, and they are unable to perform the tasks which we do everyday and take for granted.They cannot brush their own teeth, some cant walk without supervision and many are confined to their own minds.It is truly sad, but many savants grow up to become famous and powerful entities.They often choose Carree parts such as musicians or artists, to facilitate their spectacular abilities.But this impairment is no reason to look down at these great individuals.

Alterations to the human genome are next to always fatal and it took evolution neigh on a billion years to get us right.But with advancements in current technology it will be possible to chart a safer course, by not editing the human genome, but adding to it.Nanotechnology is only starting to enter into our worlds, and once it does, none of us will truly be human again.Rather a cyborg of sorts.Think about it.Through these nano-bots, we may be able to add lines to our own DNA to shape ourselves into whatever we wish.But the costs to this freakish experiment may end us all.Never the less, the age of nano-technology is on the horizon.Lets hope that when the time comes, the responsibility of upholding the human race falls to someone with at least a shred of dignity.

If only we were so lucky as to alter the inevitable.
