This is an example.

Dear Mrs RandomNoName

I’ve come up with a SWOT analysis based on the canteen. The SWOT analysis shows the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. This will show you on where to improve and what to maintain.

First of all, your strength is high sales volume. This is good as you have maintained this throughout many years. The sales are high as a result of more students purchasing food and drinks. I am pleased with this result and I hope for you to maintain this.  I suggest reducing the price of certain products to become more influential among the student’s diet.

You have a couple of weaknesses that I am concerned about. You have high prices which can reduce your high sales volume so you should reduce it. This will make you gain less profit but faster. From there on you can add more products that are appealing to students yet are still healthy so you can gain more customers and have a broader range of products.

I recommend training up your staff as there have been customers who have received incorrect amount of change from their purchase and making them not as satisfied with their purchase as they could’ve been. Hopefully, your staff will learn from their mistakes and serve customers without disappointing them. Another weakness would be the long queues. Customers grow impatient from waiting too long and may regret ever buying food from the canteen again. An answer to this problem is by making more queue lines or changing the lines such as merging year 8 to the year 7 lines.

Opportunities can allow you to gain more customers and more money.  The canteen has two opportunities. One is no outside competition and the other is working parents with less time to make lunch.
