We have various reasons to cry. Crying is a normal things that happens for various reasons…
I was crying that day due to some problems. I cried at the middle of my class. I tried to hold it back. Then "Lily" pat me on my shoulders and told me to cry more.

Crying (also called sobbing, wailing, weeping, bawling, and blubbering) is shedding tears as a response to an emotional state in humans. The act of crying has been defined as “a complex secretomotor phenomenon characterized by the shedding of tears from the lacrimal apparatus, without any irritation of the ocular. The medical term for this is to lacrimate, which also refers to non-emotional shedding of “tears”. structures”. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crying

People cry when they are badly hurt.

As the meaning states above it is a response to an emotional state. We could not hold it back because we naturally cry when are hurt or in pain. Deep sorrow and too much sadness causes us to cry as hard as we can. It sometimes serves as a coping mechanism that makes recovery more faster. Getting hurt is the most painful emotion anyone has to face and get over with as fast as we could. Crying sometimes helps in making the pain a little lighter that releases the feelings in the heart.

People cry when they are happy.

When we are out of words, happiness and joy may also bring a tear in our eyes. The emotions may be very heavy to bear that instead of the sound of laughter, teardrops comes out of our eyes. Some would even sob due to their chest may seem to get pounded or squeezed that may sometimes result to cardiac arrest or hypertension.

People cry when they slice onions.

In this case, I do believe that most of you encounter this situation. It is really hard to deal with this one since we use onions when cooking. Slicing and standing in front of sliced onion for a several minute would inevitably make you cry.

Seriously. Crying really helps us to get over pain. It also helps us to get over stress. When you cry, you make more airways open for everyone. And it always reminds me of my 12 year-old Korean student who told me, “Teacher, cry. Cry until it hurts not more.”

Nice article. For me, I would rather laugh than cry. :)
