The emotions felt behind your tears.

Why do you cry, and how does it make you feel? Tears of joy I understand completely. Tears of grief I offer my sympathy, as it saddens me as well. However explain the tears that are shed because of unwise decisions. Why do you cry? Is it because you felt stupid or embarrassed over your choices, that no one could have stopped you from making? Do you cry because someone has hurt your feelings, or because you let yourself down and everyone knows about it? Crying your eyes out, should be worth something. Your tears should be replaced, with a cleansing healing effect. An awareness of what should be done next, while moving onward and forward.

Sincere tears flow when your soul which has been bruised, obviously no longer can contain the emotional baggage. Your internal wounds bleed the salt of your tears. Guttural cries are extremely painful; it’s that low point of realization, that’s too sharp to digest. Then there are tears of trickery. Those types of tears can be turned on or off at whim, and usually stops, as soon as what’s requested or desired has been achieved. The sad and salty, simmering on and off for days type tears. Where your eyes stay swollen, loss of appetite and you retreat from life’s activities behind closed doors. Those tears are the most heartfelt. Instead of giving you tissue, I’d like to give you my shoulder to lean on; while keeping you in prayer, “Because prayer changes things”.

I completely understand the thought behind that poem.

It’s been a long time since I’ve heard someone use the term gutteral cries, that’s how I felt when my day passed away. Sad and miserable memory, I really can relate to that poem. Some one has to keep it real.
