Technology. Both good and bad. It helps communications but also makes things less personal. It can save lives but it can also destroy lives. Before you think I’m thinking that technology is this horrible thing you couldn’t be more wrong. I love technology, and yes I am even somewhat dependent on it.

So what am I trying to say? I’m trying to say that perhaps we have become to dependent on it. When was the last time you actually wrote a letter, with pen and paper? I love email and texting, it makes life so much easier. Now communication just takes several hours compared to several days. But also it’s all very impersonal. You just drop them a quick line, telling them something and you know that you can talk to them in two minutes so why say what you don’t have to?

Also, have you noticed that with technology people seem to spend nearly all day staring at a screen whether it’s a cell phone or computer or television? My brother spends most of his waking hours at home, inside playing video games and watching television. Many people have given up going into nature, it’s just easier now to download a picture of the mountains than to actually go there and hike or camp.

Have people lost touch with nature due to technology? Is technology making our lives to easy? I know I sound like I am old fashioned but think about it, people used to work in the fields harvesting food. Now they spend their lives.
