There are many reasons to enjoy the Winter season even if you are not a cold weather person. I have listed a few of the things that I love the most about Winter. What some some of the reasons you love Winter?

1) I love a hot steaming bowl of homemade chicken stew on a bitterly cold Winter evening.

2) I love watching my children playing in the snow and listening to their cheerful laughter.

3) I love spending Christmas with my family and friends, eating a festive meal together and exchanging gifts. It’s a time when we can all gather and share precious moments together.

4) I love drinking a tall glass of delicious ice cold eggnog by a warm blazing fire.

5) I love spending time with my family inside when it’s too cold to be outside, playing a board game, watching a movie or working on a craft project together.

6) I love drinking a large mug of hot chocolate on a cold and snowy Winter night.

7) I love waking up to a bright sunny Winter morning and seeing ice glistening on the tree branches after an overnight ice storm.

8) I love the beauty of nature in Winter with its crisp fresh snow, glittering icicles and delicate white snowflakes.

9) I love the shorter days in Winter and being able to catch up on my sleep.

10) I love playing in the snow, building a snowman, making a snow angel and having a snowball fight.

I know how you feel about winter. I have the same feelings. I am an outdoor nut. I’ve always enjoyed down hill skiing and ice skating. However, there are many downsides of winter. It’s a season when many things (animals, plants, etc.) sleep, starve or die. Driving can become a real challenge and eventually the clean, white, beautiful snow becomes a very dirty and ugly mess. All in all though, I am in Michigan and we know all about snow. Snow generally starts here around the end of October and doesn’t quit untill mid-May.
