The next chapter of the Basilisk.

The departure time came. Aeryn braced herself as Paul docked the starship onto Planet Milmi, the planet that Bravra was scheduled to dock on. Aeryn wondered how they had received their intel but decided to ask questions later.

‘Have to go into soldier mode. No time for questions.’ Aeryn told herself.

She disembarked the starship into the crowds of people. Paul had supplied her with the necessary fake identifications to get her through the docking checkpoints. She lost herself amidst the throngs pf various alien people. Some were clearly humans and more often than not aliens. Aeryn looked the part of Captain Bravra with her watch working fully intact as Lanya had said it would. She walked through the security barriers and produced her identifications. All the while she wondered to herself why the technology wasn’t more sophisticated.

‘Kinda archaic compared to other planets.’ She thought. Normally the security checkpoints checked your DNA to let you through. However, there was no way of telling if the drug had any effect on the people of this planet. She walked a long a city street block and into the departure zones. She had to continue her mission. She just hoped she would be able to get off the starship if she needed too. She shuddered at the possible scenarios that were running through her mind.

“Captain Bravra, I await your next orders.” A crocodile man dressed in a toga saluted Aeryn and stood at attention.

Aeryn almost forgot herself than she realized the man was addressing her. She stood at attention herself and bought herself to ease. She didn’t know exactly how Bravra addressed her soldiers but she knew she had to play along. She also knew to get out of sight as soon as the four hours were up. That was another factor she would have to take into consideration.

“We head to my ship!” She said to the reptilian man standing at ease before her.

“But Captain, we don’t depart until another two days. You saw to the scheduling yourself.” the reptilian man stammered.

“Are you questioning my orders!” Aeryn demanded trying her best to sound like the reptilian savage she was impersonating.

“No my Captain. It is always in your best interest to do as you please. I only wish to serve you.” The reptilian man said.

Aeryn grew curious. ‘So she didn’t use the serum on you or Samanthra. That’s strange. I would think she would inject all her crew with the drug.’ she thought.
