Summer is here while everyone finds time to take some days off work to spend time with family away from the city.

I for one was so into visiting my hometown for a stay-cation (vacation at home) just spending the whole time at home with my beautiful parents, brothers and sisters.

We all love singing. Singing KARAOKE is the perfect activity for us with noodles or spaghetti for a snack. I love singing some fast songs while I watch my parents dance holding hands and hugging each other. I watch in deep thoughts. I wonder if I can get to do the same when I get old, dancing with my partner. Or even ballroom dancing. 

Second, we love going to the beach. Each member of the family learned swimming during grade school years.  I never got to enroll in a swimming class in my early years but got to learn it all by myself with the help of some average sized boats with thick and long bamboo sticks on each side which I used as my swimming guide, a buddy, when I was 5 years old. At first I was so inclined with these bamboo sticks holding it so tight afraid to lose them or else, there’s no one to write about this article. Then I started to swim on my own, learning a dog swim, a lot of kicks from the bottom and arms flapping at the surface just to float, only my head dry, an inch away from “the bamboo buddy” I used to call it, then grab them whenever I grasp for air or when I think gravity is about to pull me down. The boat with bamboo sticks on each side was my guide in swimming. I was the student and I realize I was also my own teacher. Cool isn’t it?

My family loves spending time with mother nature very much so taking a day time at the farm is always on the list. From a traffic-less travel to the farm, a trek to the mountain, down a slope, then a walk past the creek, under the sun’s kiss, priceless!!! After a long walk, some rest-time follows then our most fave enters, food! At the farm, we all love to eat using our bare hands on green banana leaves, our platter, topped with a hearty meal, mostly fish dish. Yum.

I hope you spend quality time with your family and the people you love because being with them is always all about PURE bliss and it doesn’t matter what I do. Sometimes even without doing nothing is fun as long as I spend it with them. Ü
