It’s not just big. These are INCREDIBLY HUGE!

These are the products of minds which just don’t like those puny boeing 747s. Those who think that a rowing boat needs to be made a million times bigger. Those who, when driving a car, complain at the fact it is far too small and needs to be scaled up. With these people in charge, it’s amazing these incredible machines ever got built.

1. The Antonov An-225

This is the world’s biggest fixed-wing aircraft. It has a wingspan of 290 feet, making it the largest plane in the sky. It is huge. The entirety of the Wright Brothers Flight could have taken place INSIDE this ridiculous plane. It’s crazy, but true. It is used to transport everything which is heavy. Wow.

Yes, that is a space shuttle on it’s back.

2. Bagger 288 Bucket-Wheel Excavator

This is the world’s largest tracked vehicle. It’s over 700 ft long and 300 ft high. It would probably destroy your house in a few seconds. Most scarily of all, it is part of a family of similar leviathatns. They’ve just toppled the Colossus of Rhodes.

Imagine if one if those turned up at your house!

3. MS Oasis of the Seas

The world’s biggest passenger ship. It can carry 6000 passengers, and has it’s own unique facility – a park on board, with over 10000 species of plant. You can play a round of minigolf, visit the many shops, and generally forget you’re even at sea at all.

It’s like the titanic, but unlike the titanic, it hasn’t sunk.

4. Knock Nevis Supertanker

Super is the appropriate word. This makes the last boat look like a plastic dinghy. It’s the world’s largest boat of any form. Imagine if the Empire state building fell over. Well, you could put it in this and carry it off. Without the building losing any of it’s height. (It might sink, but that’s irrelevant).

Here it is, in all it’s stunning redness.

5. NASA Crawler-Transporter

OK, this one isn’t quite in the same league as the others. It’s just not that big, but it holds the record for biggest self-powered vehicle. It is used to carry spaceships etc. It’s top speed —- 2mph.

Yes, that is a rocket. It’s not going to blast off there, though.
