After more than four month without writing a word in English, I was asked today in my ENG 110 course, to write an essay in 30 minutes. The topic was interesting, but too large and difficult to encircle because we had to cover about eight points in three paragraphs. Yes, I recognize that some of the points were related and could be joined together, but still, I think it was a little bit “Duff”. Or maybe, I didn’t do well, maybe I had to prepare myself to such as situations, in fact and to be honest with you, I know that my English is not as strong as it should be, I do not read a lot, in fact, I am from those people who prefer listening rather than reading, I spend hours watching English movies and programs and I enjoy it, but once it comes to reading, I start feeling asleep before even reading a full chapter. After a deep thinking, I think that this luck of reading and this low level in English is primly do to laziness. Even if I do not like reading, I have to force myself to do it, and maybe, as time goes by, I would start appreciating this wonderful habit that is reading.
