Are you aware of how much radiation you child is exposed to?  If your child relentlessly uses an average of three or more electronic devices a day, they are in danger.  Not only is your electricity bill on the rise, but so is the risk of radiation poisoning in your offspring.  Did you know that if you kept five televisions on all day everyday, and exposed yourself to eight hours of it every day, you would get radiation poisoning within seven years?  Now that may not seem like a threatening statistic, but its a statistic nonetheless.  In order to prevent today’s young ones from a seemingly far off future of deformities and mental damage due to radiation, I propose a new system to limit our youth and ultimately save their promising futures.  The domination of today’s electronics is most definitely a problem.  A problem that is chipping away at the life expectancy of our children as we speak.

It’s no secret that televisions emit radio waves that may harm the brain.  There are parental controls for the televisions that limit the shows children watch, but few limit the amount of time they watch it.  Studies show that children that don’t watch as much television perform much better academically and physically than those who do.  For this particular reason, I suggest that a strict amount of television time per week be placed upon them.  To accomplish this, we must join with the television providers to ensure that this is carried out in some form.  This may result in a few extra cents in everybody’s taxes, but it is well worth it to save out youth from catastrophe.  Another problem is the cellular phone. Prolonged exposure to the radio waves emitted by cell phones may cause several types of cancer.  They are also a form of distraction while driving, in class, and even in movie theaters, thanks to texting, mobile IM, and non-headset use.  Tests conclude that those exposed excessively are more prone to disorientation than those who aren’t.  I propose that Blue-Tooth headsets should be sold along with cellular phones to help lower the threat of radio waves and car wrecks.  This may increase the cost of cell phones, but it will not affect taxes at all.  To ensure that our children do not go against our will, I suggest a control card.  In order to purchase anything, cash or otherwise, underage children must present an identification card that will be known as a control card.  A control card will show previous purchases, along with showing what they are permitted to buy.  This will allow parents to monitor children better as well.  It may sound like an unfair invasion of privacy, but it is currently the best possible solution to this problem.  The youth may object, but that is only because they are oblivious to the harm they cause to themselves and others.  This is a great way to solve this problem.  If you limit electronic devices and gain more control over the children, lives will be saved and grades will rise.  Just think, it’ll only cost a few pennies.  Help us keep our youth safe from radiation.
