Simple thoughts about a complex matter.
Recently scientists discovered that particles can travel faster than the speed of light, questioning Einstein’s theory and changing the very base of physics as we know it. But that made me wonder, how many things are we wrong about? What kind of distorted view do we have on our planet and the universe?
Total darkness. Face it – we don’t know shit about our universe and almost every theory is just a theory and has minimal or no proof at all. So screw it. Yes, screw it. What do we know about our planet? Everything and nothing. Some say it’s time to move on to other planets, some think that we’ve only discovered 10% of everything we can discover. What’s true about what we discovered? What’s false? Did the dinosaurs die when a meteor hit earth or did they dig their own graves searching for food like some people thought 50 years ago? Questions are endless..
Problems. War. Economic crisis. Natural disaster. You name it. We have problems. A lot of them. But problems make people sad, so they get covered up, and we continue living, not feeling the dangers around us. US and Russia are putting millions into their militairy budget, so is it really safe to say that the cold war is over? What if nuclear war starts? Will the Fallout game series become reality? Or a meteor, that could ruin our daily life.. But if we knew that death was coming, would we continue with our lives? No. For this same reason, we wouldn’t find out about anything until it was too late to do anything.
Peace. There never was peace. Never will be. If a group of people would want to create a peaceful country how long would it take for the country to be corrupted? By our world standards – not much. Corruption, money, power are just a few elements that ruin our society and turn us into blood thirsty killers. We might not think so, but by paying tax money we support the military and thus, we, the people of our countries, support war. There will never be peace.
