About six months ago my uncle with was asking me what my address was so he could send me Christmas cards and stuff in the mail and i told him the address and recalled that i lived on a Avenue so the question of what the difference was kinda stuck in my head til i did some much needed research so of course i got on Yahoo and Google and searched and found my answer.Originally a street was a strait, a narrow place implicitly between buildings. And a Avenue was originally a row of trees. Also depending on what city you live in Avenues always run West-East while Streets run North-South. But in the city i live in there is no system like this thus because i live on a Avenue that runs North. So it all depends on where you live but nowadays there is no system hardly anymore and there isn’t no difference as to if you live on a Avenue or Street.
