They are, they really are the new type of subtle evil.

You add the word “corporation” to anything and you can make anything gain a thick coating of ominous doubt infecting the association we make with anything to do with that company. Take Pixar, they’re basically a coolness that we’ve missed in animation for a number of years (Disney once filled that void but stuff happened) from how they create films that have a truly great ingredient—they put raw emotion into each film, they give the characters a soul, they give everything presences. Not just some film that’s there, but a film that embodies something rare, and I mean something that is impossible to find. They’re a creature of chance—what does that mean? Made in the moment, has the human element of happening when you least expect it….not created with the impression of clockwork. But, what if you added the word corporation to the title? Pixar Corporation….sounds less likable and gains that unpleasant coating of greed…human greed. Disney don’t call themselves a corporation, they just go with something that sounds less money grabbing.

They call themselves “The Walt Disney Company”, and that what makes them this era representation of evil, because evil has always been a kind of “Hitler was evil or someone else is evil” and not connected to the world of business “which itself is the worse of the human condition taking a form where it actually takes advantage of our fellow humans”. Corporations are this eras villain, it’s this incarnation of what humans are capable of….it’s the subtle evil we accept without question. Fuck! At least with Hitler you could question it and stand firm to shout “Not now! Not ever!” They’re hiding away in plain sight and the only thing hiding them is the name and us.

The BNP (British National Party) are like that, they’re selective with how they name themselves (even though it’s clear they wanted to call themselves the British Nazi Party…Ha! Ha! Ha! Political humour) and it’s clear they’re trying to hook into the whole “My country national pride crap” with the words “British” and “National”. The greatest joke about the BNP is that they’re like Disney, hiding in plain sight even with the proof of what they’re like is clear.

But in this world of deceit and greed, it doesn’t surprise me that nice sounding names win people over. Take Fox “Totally against anything that helps progress humankind into a better direction” News.

We’re moving on into what might be the pivotal point of where we go next with the human condition.

Thought of the Day: September 5th:

Are we creative or destructive? It’s both of course. Since we seem to be creatively destructive in the amounting methods we can destroy ourselves.
