The writings and ramblings of a Springer Spaniel/Lab mix. Check back daily to see what the dog has to say.

I was right.  Terri came down with full blown cold.  I’ve been at her side since Saturday night.  She has been drinking herbal tea and eating Cold Buster Soup.  It is one of her recipes.  She swears by it to get rid of a cold.  I’ll be sure to have the recipe at the end for you.   I’m not sure if it actually gets rid of a cold but I will say it tastes good.  Terri let me lick the bowl when she was finished.

I hope this does not put her cookie baking behind.  Sabrina and Snuggles predict she will be up and baking by this time tomorrow.  I asked them how they know.  Snuggles, who has done all kinds of research on humans, says that colds rarely last more than a few days.  Snuggles also said that when she starts foraging in the kitchen it is a sign she is recovering.  I hope they are right.  Humans just look so pitiful when they have colds.   It just makes us want to lick them all over.  I tried that with Terri but she told me to go lay down.  Sabrina says one of the signs a human is not feeling well is they want to be left alone.  Of course, we know that is not good for them.  They need us to lick them, keep them warm by laying on top of them, and bring them wet, soggy toys to play with.

I think I hear the refrigerator door.  Yes!  It is Terri!  She is on her feet and looking for some thing to eat.  I have to go help her pick something healthy.  Now, what am I in the mood for?
