So, what do you think?  I finally have a recent photo to show you.  Rick took this last night.  Rick is Terri’s mate and my other human.  He is a private investigator so he is gone most of the time.  He came home last night and plans to stay until after New Years.  We are all glad to have him home.  He arrived just before the snow started.  We were not expecting him until tomorrow so it was a real surprise.

Another good thing about having Rick here is Terri cooks full meals.  She says it is not worth the effort just for herself so she tends to get takeout or something pre-cooked at the store.  She does not eat anywhere near the fruits and vegetables she should.  At least with him here, she eats right.  She was not expecting him last night so she made her famous Chicken Stew with Dumplings with the leftover rotisserie chicken she bought at the store Monday night.  I’ll give you the link to the recipe.  This is good no matter what species you are.

The humans went to the store today.  They brought home a ton of stuff but what caught my eye was the beef, potatoes and carrots.  That can only mean one thing.  Terri is making Crockpot Pot Roast.   I hope it is tomorrow.  Nothing on earth smells better while it is cooking.  Then, when it is done it is all covered in gravy…I have to stop.  I’m drooling all over the keyboard just thinking about it.

Anyway, here’s Terri’s Chicken Stew with Dumplings recipe.
