Statistics on how we sleep.

The latest survey by the National Sleep Foundation in the United States reveals that Americans not getting enough rest: only 6.5 hours on average. Analyzing the habits of different ethnic groups in the country to bring out cultural differences, the study authors have found that sleep alone 31% of Hispanics, 41% of blacks, 21% of whites and 37% of Asians. The habit of sleeping with a pet is more common among whites (14%). And about a third of the population, regardless of ethnicity, has trouble sleeping because of problems related to finance, employment, personal relationships or health. Moreover, 20% of respondents reported using the Internet in the hour before bedtime each night, a percentage which increased greatly in Asian subjects (51%). And the habit of watching television before going to bed amounted to 74% in blacks, 72% Hispanic and 64% in whites.

We also have a clear position: 64.7% prefer sleeping on your side, compared to 7.8% and 7.9% which makes your back and stomach, respectively. And the size, dominated by beds of 1.35 cm, used by 42.1% of the population, followed by 1.50 cm (27.8%). The mattress is a great ally, not only to sleep: 57.2% use it in addition to sexual intercourse, 26% for watching TV, and 25% for reading, curiously, there are only 29.6% I used to sleep. And in general, ten years would change first mattress (40.2%), compared to 13% would change the car and 6% giving priority to domestic appliances.
