There’s a proverbial saying in Nigeria that when troubles comes knocking on ones door and was told that there’s no seat available for him to seat,he would tell the person not to worry that he came along with his own stool.Such is the shocking exit of the legendary pop king Michael Jackson popularly referred to as “MJ”.

the news of Jackson death came as a shock to the whole world and Nigeria was no exception,i could still recall vividly how my heart flew into my mouth when i heard the news at the early hours of the morning of Friday the 25that 3:30 am via a text message from a friend.The legendary star is an icon in the world of music and he is reputed to be  the greatest entertainer of all time in the music industry in our generation.Memories,many believe is a funny thing but we are all going to remember him for a long time.I can recollect how as a kid ,i used to sit clinging unto my dad as i watched the star greatest hit and world record most sold album “thriller”

His ‘86 album “we are the world which he did with others great star like Lionel Ritchie,Kenny Rogers,Steven wonders and host of others touched me so much when i heard that the monies realized from the album was channel towards helping in reviving Ethiopia whose economy was in shambles then.though his late ’80s black or white was aim at correcting his past errors on the side of his identity,he still suffers public criticism in the aspect of child molestation which almost drove him out of public life,making him spending the  latter days of his life in isolation and guiding his children from public scrutiny.He may be no more but am sure the legacy which some of his song such as “heal the world”will remain in our hearts.

He was a rare gem,a phenomenon without an equal or a double,even inmates of Hawaii in their dungeons pays tribute to him when they learn about his death.Sleep on Michael,may God in his infinite mercy gives your family and well wishers the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss which your death has caused.Adieu Michael,may your gentle soul rest in peace.Amen
