Stupid title of course. I had to play with it somehow because Triond, I’m sure, wouldn’t approve the already popular fairytale title.
My brother, Bani Asbucan, wrote this article last year. I asked permission from him to have it published online.

Haha, this is a very good one. Fairy tales are indeed political. Kaya naman ang Disney at ang iba pang mga company dedicated to children modify the true story. Like the snow glass apples na ginawa nilang sleeping beauty.

Like the saying goes: Happily ever afters are so once upon a time.

still with your sense of humor I see.. but the intelligent insight is there so this is a very balanced composition I think..

Nice tale, except for comparing frogs to something unpleasant – I like frogs!

excellent and very truthful, life is no fairy tale.

How true. That’s why fairytales can never be true because there is never a happy ending. As it is, all endings are sad because it’s either a loved one dies or leaves.

Well, can’t blame people for trying to escape the glum realities of life. Gives them something to dream about I guess.

Nice share. Keep it up :)

It took me awhile to get to your site. But, my opinion is that most of what you say is true. The trouble lies in the way girls grow up. Even in our more enlightened age girls think there is a prince out there in frogs clothes. They should study their parents. Now, some marriages are great but I am a marriage drop out after three attempts. I say, if you marry a frog accept that was your choice. quess a life with a frog is better than being alone; unless he has warts. If by chance, and this is up to him in long run he becomes a prince. Great! He is probably seeing another woman. Sorry, I am plain cynical. Good write Kitty

I agree with everyone above. I thought this was a very good piece.

after all that its enough to make the poor princess forget the frogs altogether and kiss another princess!
    lovely work.
