Hope you enjoy.
“Ow…” Passing out is not fun. Passing out because you just figured out the Greek gods are real is much worse. “Hey, she’s alive!” I groaned as I glanced at Abby was about three inches from my face. “Abby, did I just dream the last hour?” “Uh… yes?” I smirked. “Nice try.”
I sat up. I was sitting in the living room of the house. Everyone was gathered on random couches. Most of them were shooting glances at Phoenix- sorry, HADES. “So, let me get this straight.” I said. “You’re the Greek gods?” Zachary opened his mouth to say no, when Heather glared at him and replied, “She doesn’t need to be lied to.” Heather turned to me and said, “You are correct.”
I sat back. “Unbelievable…” “Funny, it isn’t if you count everything… especially the thunderbolt.” I looked at Phoenix, who happened to be sharing the same couch. “So, your Hades?” He nodded. “You’re Zeus?” Zachary nodded, looking mildly embarrassed. I glared at Abby. “Artemis, get away from my face!” She jumped backed and laughed, saying, “You know my name too!” “I think I’m going to pass out again.” “No you’re not.” I looked at Hades. “I can tell when people are going to pass out. You’re circulation is fine.”
I stood up. “Are you gonna wipe my memory or… oh crap are you going to kill me?!?!” Zachary… or Zeus in other words, stood up. “Okay guys, time to take a vote. All in favor of killing Sky, raise your hand.” When Aaron raised his hand, everyone turned to glare at him. “What? She pisses me off.” Aaron said with a shrug. “Okay, you lose. All in favor of keeping her alive, raise your hand.” Everyone raised their hands… except Hades. “Hades, you didn’t vote either time.” Zachary pointed out. ”You wouldn’t care if I voted or not.” Said Hades. “Plus, it doesn’t matter if she lives or dies. If she dies, another soul for the underworld. If she lives… she’s fun to annoy.” Hades said.
“Ok, either way, she lives. All in favor of having her still wor-” “Oh, give it a rest, thunder head.” Heather stood up. “I employed her, and I did warn her there was… interesting circumstances.” She turned to me. “You understand, of course, this needs to be kept quiet?” I nodded. Then I stood up. “I need to get back to work.” As I turned to leave, I heard Peter mutter, “Is she always like that?” I heard Zachary reply, “Yes. Unfortunately..”
