There is something magical about writing a complete story within a few hundred words.

“Mr. Hogan, let me say how sorry I am that Triond decided to reject your story ‘Orgasms’.”

“I guess I crossed the line.”

“Would you consider it censorship?”

“Not at all.  Triond has a policy.  I agreed to the policy.  I’m glad they’re publishing my work.”

“Flash fiction is a passion of yours.  Why?”

“It excites me that a story, a complete story, can be told in a few hundred words.  ‘Orgasm’ was under 200 words.  Think of that.  A complete story in under 200 words.  The reader enters a world with real people doing real things.”

“In the case of ‘Orgasm’ mutual oral sex.”

“Does oral sex happen in real life?”

“Well, sure.”

“But I crossed the line and I understand that.”

“Do you have anything to say to our readers?”

“Flash fiction rocks!”
