The continuation.
The ability to type fast allowed me to utilise my computer ultimately as my main writing platform, something I have never done before. I used to prefer the pen over the keyboard but today I couldn’t imagine having to write something out by hand, in fact the very task seems very daunting to me. I can type a lot faster than I can write by hand, I can delete and re write whenever I chose to do so, and thus writing has never been the same to me ever since. All of this I can thank to the online games that I played on and off over the last four years. It allowed me to type quickly and efficiently on chat sites like MSN, Yahoo Messenger, and over the much lagging but nevertheless convenient Facebook chat! My ability to type well and my ability to think quickly allowed me to communicate with a huge amount of people on a daily basis. This included talking in chat, typing emails, live debates, and even writing my own blog on BlogSpot. This endeavour eventually developed into me searching for a website that would allow me freedom to write anything I pleased.
It was this gradual chain reaction of events that eventually lead me to this awesome blog/content/ freelance writer’s website Triond, late January this year. Since then I have posted 109 articles, each averaging 1000 words covering topics from the most personal in my life, to written content that could be easily adapted by a broad readership worldwide. This online writing experience has allowed me to develop my writing from what I considered mediocre only six or so months ago, to something not so pathetic. It has allowed me to express many views, and immortalise my thought for the reading pleasures of anyone who cares to take the time.
The Internet has effectively helped improve my literacy skill far better than four years of high school ever did. The Internet has also allowed me to research huge amounts of articles, resource material, and reams of knowledge that I would have never come by naturally otherwise. I have learnt by far, at least one hundred times more from utilising Google, than I have in all 12 years of my schooling! This is no exaggeration. It has taught me that self education beats the hell out of public education any day! I have stopped reading newspapers, and my eyes have been opened to just how unbelievably poor and misleading the corporate media really is, especially when compared to awesome websites like Antiwar.com! Let me now take the opportunity to advise you my readers, to go and look up Antiwar.com, as it is probably the best international news source on the internet if not the world. I especially enjoy the articles by Nebojsa Malic. If you’re looking for high quality political articles, then look no further, the journalists employed by this user funded website, are very good indeed! The Internet has allowed me to access information, and listen to the voices that became cast in the shadow of the worldwide media conglomerate! The Internet is very anti elitist in its vision to share knowledge to all that wish to learn. I have learnt through my hundreds of hours of saving pages of knowledge and reading information that I have never had access to ever before! I must mention probably the best actor, and movie info database on the Internet IMDB.com (Internet Movie Data Base), it is absolutely amazing in that it will help you find just about every movie you can think of.
