When I first began dabbling in magik I did’nt know what I was doing, no one had ever explained the way the Energy works to me. The result was extremely dificult for me, so I’ve written this “Law” for beginers.
I wrote this as a section of my book several months ago. The book has yet to have been finished.
Magick is the movement of natural energies to bring about needed change. These ‘energies’ are in fact natural; they lie within every natural thing on the planet. Where does this energy come from? Many have different beliefs on this subject, but almost all (if not all) religions agree that it is the ‘life force’ given at the dawn of creation. This energy holds matter together, but is so much deeper than matter. Each and every one of us (as human beings) posses our own piece of this energy. Some would call it the soul, others would call it mana; it doesn’t matter what you call it so long as you acknowledge that it does exist. This energy, your soul, your mana, it is a natural part of you. That’s right, just like your hand, or a foot, it is simply another part of your natural body.
Some are disciplined enough to ‘tap into’ this part of their body. Through a course of discipline and training they are able to access this energy and use it to enact change in their lives, which (if you are able to look at this with an open mind) you will be able to do by the end of this book.
The Law of the Power
If you are planning to ‘tap into’ these energies then you need to be aware of the natural, unwritten law that governs them. This law has gone by many different names; The Golden Rule, Karma, these are just two of the many names this law has gone by. The latter is the most well known and followed, but they both share the same concept; only do that which you are comfortable with happening to yourself. The bible says “Do unto others as you would have them do unto yourself.” Karma ventures so far as to state that whatever you do will come back to you. For the sake of observation, say that there is a man walking down the road. He looks down to find a beautiful diamond ring, and after a quick look around, discovers that the owner is nowhere to be found. He pockets the ring and keeps it for himself, only to find a few weeks later that he has lost something of value himself. He only wishes that the person that finds this thing will return it, but that person never will because of the karmic judgment that this man has brought on himself by not returning the ring. The law of the power is similar, but has more to do with your spiritual self than physical possessions. This natural, unwritten law states that whatever you do will return to you, and I’ll tell you why.
