The narwhal is a rare aquatic animal somewhat like a whale. is is about the size of a Killer Whale but with a single spiral patterned horn that protrudes from the face of the animal. Sometimes referred to as the ice unicorn, it lives North of Eastern Canada and West of Greenland. The Narwhal is an endangered species. Unlike Polar Bears however it actually stands to gain something from global warming. The Narwhal is usually at full length anywhere from 25-35 feet long. The Narwhal often appears in many orally transmitted fairy tales around the northern Adriatic sea. the narwhal is a symbol of peace for many whalers off the coast of Alaska that find themselves fighting with legally tied up with anti-whaling groups.
