I am a rider inside and out. I am a rider, I’m just a poor rider, and this is my DILEMMA….
The wind in my face, the burning heat of the sun that scorches my skin; a sensation that I always like to feel whenever I’m riding my big old motorbike. Back then, I am anesthetized with the searing heat, and have always ignored the dusts, dirt and insects that my face receives upon riding. I rode side-by-side with my family and friends, but oftentimes with people I didn’t even know. People, just like me, who are journeying and trusting their life and safety to the natural law of the open road and high way; THIS IS THE RIDER’S WAY.

I am a loner. I am an introvert. Being sociable isn’t within the realm of my immense nature, yet I have learned and acquired the urge to be open and share a little smile and a simple wave to people I just met on the road.
The clean and sweet aromatic scents in the air, the gentle and the cool breeze, which could always bring peace to my troubled self, ease my mind and momentarily help me to forget my deepest thoughts and problems. Those were the days, of years ago that I always wanted to remember. Those were the memories of my past that still lingers within my mind. Those were the moments when I have experience long lasting joy and happiness.
But, just like any speeding motorbike, our time and days swiftly passed by; and our world have changed drastically and dramatically. I remember a phrase that I used to like to hear and have always believed; a phrase that any rider in the world knows and believed in, “Ride to Live, Live to Ride.” I am unaware of the originator’s identity, but I know that he or she haven’t considered, thought or even anticipated the drastic and constant transformation that would happen in the future. These days, our roads are packed with vehicles of all types and sizes. Streets are congested with vehicles that cause heavy traffic. Smoke lingers in the air which makes riding exhausting and very hard to breath. And there are people who can’t help themselves but discard their garbage within the street. In addition to that, incessant increase in fuel and oil prices, but sad to say, wages still stays the same. World’s developments were seen; new technologies and new ways to make people’s lives easier, and that development should make A RIDER’S LIFE EASIER. But these are hard times though, especially for a rider, whose income is just enough just for himself.
