A beginning of what will hopefully become a series of rantings. I’ll touch on poilitics, gossip, religion- anything I can think of to push buttons.
Well, my heart is pounding and my mind is racing. What should I start with? I wonder. So much to rant about! The many crooked politicians? The hilariously hypocritical and biased religious hype that is tossed around these days? The leftist media? Brain-washed children of today?! I’m sure you’re starting to get the picture.
Today’s world is full of things to contemplate, or complain about. Ah! A subject touches home. The hypocrisy of the American people concerning freedom of speech. That sounds about perfect! Let me touch on the recent stab of the violators who push the line and limit for our wonderful constitutional right.
The Westboro Baptist Church. A group committed to showing the evils of soldiers everywhere! This group goes to various funerals of dead military men and women, proclaiming that God hates American soldiers and “fags” (their words not mine!). When the case against them was taken to the supreme court, it was ruled to uphold their right to free speech. These people go to the funeral where the families are gathered and tell these families that God hates them, America, and their dead loved ones. Be still my heart, I might convert! They sound so passionate! (sarcasm people!)
Now lets go to the next issue. A N.M. man put a billboard up of himself holding the outline of a baby, the billboard basically saying he’d be holding a real baby of not for the decision to abort the baby by his ex-girlfriend. He did not post her name, but she is still taking him to court over the billboard saying it violates her privacy and is a form of harassment!
Lets weigh both of these stories in hand now. A church going to the families and proclaiming God hates their dead loved ones, and a man saying publicly he’d be a happy father if not for the murder of his unborn baby. Hmm. What are your thoughts? Should the baptist church be taken to court for harassment as well? And was the man within his rights to make this a public opinion? Feel free to email me at spazattack4ever@yahoo.com
Here is my opinion. The church is outrageous! They need to be sued for emotional trauma! They are completely wrong, and what they produce is more hatred. They aren’t protesting, they are outright verbally abusing innocent people, stating things that they can’t really state. Obviously someone didn’t read the new testament and didn’t get the memo about the kind of person Jesus is. But our beloved system as once again SCREWED those fighting to uphold it. But on the other hand, I must concede with a point my dad made. If we’re to have freedom of speech for one we need it for all. To become a nation who chooses who can say one thing or another would be wrong, and it wouldn’t make us free now would it? A direct quote from my father: “The great thing about America is the freedom of choice and speech. We have the right to choose to punch these people in the nose, and then suffer the consequences.”
Now the man on my other hand I applaud! Everyday we hear about hate evils of men, how some guys pressure their g/f’s into abortion, sex, and whatever evils men supposedly force us into. The woman’s side is always taken when it comes to unborn children. Well guess what ladies? That so-called thing living inside you isn’t only yours. If the daddy didn’t rape you he has every right to be a father to the unborn baby. Once more our system SCREWS someone. What happened to equal rights? Since when did it become only about one side? I say that this guy deserves to keep his billboard up. He didn’t name her, if she gets hate mail now, its only because 1.) people are idiots for doing that and 2.) she made it public who the billboard was about. It was a private public slap that she turned into a very much everyones business slap. He is stating his rights. I applaud him for starting the march to equal rights for men when it comes to abortion. It isn’t just the woman’s DNA inside the kid.
A crazy hate-filled church got off on the emotional abuse and harassment of families mourning their dead. I’d say that if this guy doesn’t get his freedom of speech then we, as American citizens, should protest what our government has become. A leftist, crazy, American hating government.
