This article is about who we really are. It explains how balanced life was for all of us. I hope you like this. Thanks!

“The trick is to know when to turn the spotlight away from them – and onto something good.” – What’s your spotlight on?

One night, my friend Erika called on the phone.  As I answered her, sobs were the only thing I can hear and her unclear voice saying, “Ate Lorena…”.  She was crying that I wished to stop her but I don’t know how.  When I had the chance to ask her what the problem was, she soberly mentioned the name of her boyfriend. By then, I jumped into a conclusion that they broke up and I was right.  I understand how she cried that night because they have been together for three years and I have witnessed how she truly loved the guy.

There are times in our life that we encounter challenges and problems that give us pain. “Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional.”  These difficulties might have reasons that it happened.  Maybe, these problems just want you to be stronger for a better prospect in life.  You may have these because of your shortcomings and close-mindedness.  Bear in your mind that God sent these challenges because He knew that you can overcome.

Just like a puzzle, you will have trouble in putting the pieces together. You may have the thought of dumping it in a trash can or just let a good friend solve it.  Honestly, solving a puzzle is such a burden for me but what keeps me motivated to solve the puzzle is the beautiful picture that I can have when it is already done.  An analogy in life: A better person is a product of utmost challenges he met.

Life is not just about an aspect of it. Life has varieties that you can choose from.  Everything changes, as what my mom always reminds us.  From this, I can say that the problem with most of us is that we do not explore like Dora and Diego do.  If we just do it, we may not see the dark corner but the colorful and lighter side instead.  We may not be good in academics but we can be the champions in different sports.  We may not express our feelings with a good voice but we can turn our voice into a joyful dance.  We may not have ‘that’ someone special rather ‘those’.  We may not have the material riches but we have the priceless smile.  Life is balanced, we just have to appreciate and give worth even in small things. Life is to short to have sorrowful chapters.

Going back to my friend Erika…  This girl has a very supportive and loving family, who brings and fetches her wherever she goes.  They are well-known in their tow because of their political legacies.  They are rich but very humble and offer a hand to everyone.  In terms of her career, I can say that she is a winner.  In fact, she is one of the heads of a worldwide religious organization. She is kind enough that she has many friends. She is as sweet as a chocolate, as wise as Solomon and as pretty as a doll.

See how balanced life was? You just need to drop a hot potato and move your feet.
