What is wrong with our country today?
What ever happened to the strength that once existed by our fore fathers? Where have the women who fought so hard to achieve equality gone? During the days of Yore every man and woman lived by a code, very simply , stand up for what you believe in. I am afraid that standing up for what we believe in has become a thing of the past. My God, during colonial days they refused to pay tax on tea… Tea? Yet during the high gas crunch we could not stop filling up our tanks! I stood by the fact that I was not going to fill up my tank and I didn’t! My family and I only put the minimum amount of gas in the car that we had to, it came to ruffly 10.00 every 3 days. It isn’t glamorous I know but I had to get back and forth to work and I refused to give them all of 50.00 at once. This may sound futile, however it makes sense. If our stock markets are going by daily revenue then it only makes since that they more money put into the economy each day coensides with supply and demand, not rocket science people. Now we stand teetering on financial melt down and how is to blame? We are, as consumers it is important to keep big bussiness in check. It is our job to make sure they remember who they really work for. Sure just getting enough to get by sucks with a capital S, but if others can give their very lives fighting to become an independant nation who are we to tell them that they were wrong? We have to pay homage to our predesessors in letting ourselves know that we are worthy of the price they paid. Remeber as one we are small but as many we are giants. Therefore I guess you can realize where this is going. Our Unions were stronger when everyone stood together, our country was stronger when brought together in unity and still to this very day realize the importance of our and I mean every single one of us from the homeless person downtown to the wealthy self important penthouse occupant need one another for survival. Instead of separation he desparately need unification!
