In America a penny costs about 1.5 cents to make, a nickle costs 6 cents , a dime costs 4 cents, a quarter costs 10 cents, and a dollar coin costs 30 cents. The costs to make paper money is about 4 to 9 cents. A penny and nickle costs more to make than they are actually worth. I think we should rid of pennies frankly because NO ONE LIKES THEM. When you buy something the cost should be rounded atomatically up or down. The government needs to find a less costly way to make nickels.
